5th Grade G/T

We have started our novel unit based on the book, Flush, by Carl Hiaasen. Students should be reading Chapters 1-7 for the week of September 10th, and filling out their study packets. In addition to this, they should go to our class blog to discuss the book by answering questions.

This is a secure blog, and requires students to sign in. Only members of the blog can see posts or make posts. All posts have to be approved by me or the other G/T teachers.


In addition to Flush, we will begin our project based learning on water quality. This will require students to do critical thinking as well as research outside of our class time.

McKinley Students: Monday, September 17: Have chapters 1-7 of Flush read and packet filled out.
Mulberry Students: Tuesday, September 18: 

• Come ready to discuss Flush. 
• Come ready with one or more short-term projects you want to accomplish by Halloween.
• Come ready to do more critical thinking about Hopewell Elementary's mussel problems.
