Action needed with our congress members
Please consider writing our congress members in support of the TALENT Act - a national bill that was introduced by multiple members of congress, including Chuck Grassley of Iowa. Currently each state has their own standards for gifted education and this act ensures a more cohesive nation wide plan as well as accountability for school systems to provide all day, every day learning for high ability students.
Highlights are:
1. Changes to assessment and accountability systems.
2. Emphasis on classroom practice.
3. Focus on underserved populations.
4. Emphasis on research and dissemination.
