We are beginning our
unit on Volume. Please read the
Parent Resource for Module 5 (click on the link to the left). This was also sent home with your student.
In addition, we will
continue to review our fifth grade math standards we have covered so far this
year, including multiplying and dividing decimals. Please include your child in conversations
that include real life situations with money.
Dividing up a weekly allowance, for example, into 5 parts, or going to
the store and purchase several items for the same price.
We will be beginning
our newest unit in science on variables as soon as we receive our last science
kit. Students will be going through the
scientific method and performing many experiments.
Science Fair: For those of you with children interested in
doing the science fair, the permission slip is due back this Friday.
