4th grade field trip to Herbert Hoover

Your child will be bringing home a permission slip either Thursday or Friday for our "Book Talk" field trip with author Mike Graf.  Mr. Graf has published a series of books for upper elementary and middle school students about the national parks in our country.  As a part of our next unit (after we finish with our Questions unit) we'll be learning about the concept expansion and how it relates to many different aspects of life.  In this case, we'll relate expansion to Westward Expansion, which Mr. Graf talks about in his books. 

Please sign and return the permission slip as soon as possible.  On the date of the field trip, October 4th, please be sure and send a sack lunch with your kiddo as well as make sure they are dressed for outdoor activities as we will also tour the Herbert Hoover grounds and museum.  The bus will pick up kiddos from school around 8:30 and drop them off before the end of the day.
