4th Grade G/T

We are reading through Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. Some students are already familiar with the book, as they read it last year. However, this time around, they will need to respond to higher-order thinking questions and record their answers in a study packet, as well as on our class blog:

For the week of September 10th, students should read through chapter 5.

In class, we have discussed Shakespeare. Students should be working on a sonnet (a poem with 14 lines that follows the ababcdcdefefgg rhyme pattern and has 10 syllables per line). Their poem should be ready to share with the class on Monday or Tuesday, September 17 or 18.

McKinley students: For Monday, September 17th
Mulberry students: For Tuesday, September 18th

• Bring your sonnet to class to share
• Have read Chapters 1-5 of Winn Dixie
• Have the packet completed for Winn Dixie (chapters 2-4)
• Bring your pencil and be ready to discuss
