Attention Parents!

You’re invited to join a Guided Discussion Group for

parents of gifted and talented students.

When:            Weekly from April 7 through May 26, 2014  (Days and times will be determined by the needs of the group of parents.)

Where:           Meetings to be held at  TBD.

Facilitators:              Tenneil Register and Ginger Dahms, G/T Specialists

Cost:               $30 (covers the cost of the book A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children and 8 sessions for one or two parents/significant adults) *Financial assistance is available.  Contact facilitators if cost prohibits participation in this group.

Registration Deadline:

                        Friday, March 28, 2014 

An informational parent meeting will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Muscatine Community School District Administration Center, 2900 Mulberry Avenue from 5pm to 6pm.  A brief overview and questions about the discussion group will be answered.

Objectives:

·      Establish an environment in which parents of gifted and talented children can receive support, guidance and professional advice through discussion with other parents and trained leaders.

·      Develop parenting skills to nurture the self-concept and emotional development of gifted and talented children and their families
