Hi Everybody!
We had a great response to our request for March Microgrant applications, and were able to fund four winners. We'll be contributing basic equipment like balances and goggles to local middle and high school classrooms, as well as a wide variety of books to help teachers meet the new Next Generation Science Standards. These four grants will impact just over 1,300 students a year!
We'll be profiling these teachers and their classrooms on our Facebook page throughout the month of April. And to raise money for another grant cycle, mark your calendars for Sunday, June 5th. From 3pm-6pm we'll be be hosting a fossil themed BBQ at the Devonian Fossil Gorge. Come and Gorge at the Gorge- we'll have great food and learn about the evolution of Iowa at one of the best fossil sites around.
